BRIAN BADOLATO (Jake) on "Deadly Beloved"

Shooting "Deadly Beloved" was one of the best experiences of my life. The cast and crew were a pleasure to work with. Everyone was good at what they did and had a lot to offer. While working on the movie, I had a great opportunity, that I otherwise wouldn't have had: that of meeting great people. You end up spending so much time together that you can't help but get to know everyone very well. The hours were long and the days kept adding on, but it didn't matter. I loved almost every second of it. There was always time during the day to work on lines. Which is great because when you get home at the end of the day, you're too tired to go through them!

I had a great understanding of my character, Jake. Mostly his wants and his needs. I had fantastic chemistry with Melissa, who plays Toni, which made our relationship in the movie even more real and interesting. The fun and games on set were minimal but very prevalent. I feel when I get comfortable with people, it's a lot easier for me to act goofy. And since I felt comfortable with everyone, well... you can imagine! Since we were always rushing to get shots in, the actors had to focus and cut the horse play a lot more than we would have liked. But we still got our fair share into!

Jake. The character. The Man! Jake on script is a very caring person. He is very grounded and centered in life. He has very strong feelings for Toni, and is a good friend. Jake is a lot more in love with her than he'd like to believe. She is ideal to him, and he has never cared more for anybody in his life. The thing is though, he knows he can't come on too strong or he will scare Toni away. They have a very delicate relationship because of their past. And Toni is also very delicate because of their past.

Jake is pretty much your average all-American guy. He was an athlete in high school, was in a frat in college, grew up in the suburbs, the whole nine. Somewhere in his life he developed a wonderfully caring personality. He has a huge heart which allows him to care for others more than himself. And all of these characteristics I hope I have conveyed in the film.
