If you want to hear the mesmerizing opening theme, which composer John McCauley wrote for "Deadly Beloved," along with other beautiful music clips from the movie, go to www.johnvmccauley.com After getting on the menu tab, click on "FILMOGRAPHY," then on the "DEADLY BELOVED" cover.
This is merely a glimpse into John's universe though. His work has exceeded our expectations. Beyond both his obvious professionalism and integrity, his sensitivity and unmatched talent are so haunting and so hypnotizing that it will leave anyone who listens to his music speechless, spellbound.
His is a world where feelings are sounds; where human experience is not only greatly enhanced by its own soundtrack, but is also completely transcended by it. He is a force to be reckoned with -- a master of cementing our soundless memories with his own kingdom: one where mermaids sing -- and sting!
COMPOSER JOHN VINCENT McCAULEY ON "DEADLY BELOVED"
"I really enjoyed creating through music and sound design what I hope will be
perceived to be a sonic world unique to Deadly Beloved. Upon seeing the opening
credits with the Victorian doll, I could not resist building the main title them
around a music box melody. For some scenes a harp and strings were used in
addition to the music box to create a bit of an eerie underscore. A special
thank you to the great looking cast who provided plenty of emotion and to
Gregori Holderbach for bringing me in to score this wonderful film."
